Marie has been supporting our life-saving research since her Breast Cancer diagnosis back in 2004, where she was prescribed Arimidex – a new drug that was developed thanks to a trial funded by Cancer Research UK.
Marie began her fundraising journey just three weeks after finishing radiotherapy, and has upheld her determination to give something back time and time again ever since. She has taken part in Winter Run, and several other Cancer Research UK events:
“I feel very fortunate to be here as my cancer was found in its early stages and I am a fervent believer in prevention. My experience means I understand all too clearly why Cancer Research UK’s work is so important, it’s thanks to research that I’m standing here today.”
